WIP Wednesday

After I lost my button, I decided there was nothing much to be done but go ahead and wash my sweater and block it.

We sat out in the sun, my sweater and I, as I cast on another project to ease the pain of losing my hand-crafted prize.

The new project is Elizabeth Zimmerman's Ribwarmer. I had thought I might use up the rest of my Fishermen's Wool with it, but upon searching Ravelry I realize I might need 2 balls to complete it. Hmm....Still, it is great fun to work on and I am already about a quarter of the way done.

Aaaaaand that's what I'm working on. Linking in with Tamis Amis, as usual ^_^

  5. I am so sorry about the button and I feel your pain...but the cardigan is absolutely gorgeous and I think it looks much better without those buttons. I think pale blue buttons would work much nicer on there, and your scrummy hand crafted buttons would look perfect on the rib warmer

  8. Lovely sweater, and ribbed warmer is pretty cute too. Fingers crossed that you make it with the yarn you have!

  9. How can you bust out sweaters so easily!!? Both look great. I hope the Fisherman's wool isn't too warm though... there are only a couple months a year here to wear it -__- sucks doesn't it? Not that I particularly love cold weather but I would like to knit warm mittens and wear them!

  10. The poor buttons. I about cried when I read the story. So sorry about that. Perhaps you will find it when your not looking for it.

  12. I feel your pain on the buttons. Now that my kids are too old to lose my stuff, the cats have taken their place! Amazing how much cats like yarn and knitting notions.

The sweater is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure you can find buttons deserving of it.
