FO Friday

1) Fingerless Gloves

Materials: Patons Kroy Socks, Colorway "Burnished Sierra Stripes" - 1 skein
Needles: Size 2
Notes: These started out as Spiraling Tube Socks for my son, but I quickly realized that he wouldn't like the texture on his feet. I switched to knitting flat for the thumb opening. I used up the whole ball, minus a few yards. The color makes me think of autumn, and they are a very nice fit for me.

2) Convertible Owl Mittens

Materials: Cascade Ecological Wool
Needles: Size 6, 7, and 9
Notes: Very quick knit. The free pattern is for toddlers, but used bulky yarn to make them for myself. Pattern is mostly in chart form, but easy to follow. I chose to make the tufted top and convertible style.
Flip tops!!

3) Crocheted Washcloth

Materials: Peaches n Cream Discloth cotton
Hook: E
Notes: Just a simple single crochet washcloth on 27 chains; I'm making a set for my mom's birthday. This is only my second time doing a border, but hopefully I'll get better at it with time!

4) Lapghan

Materials: Lion Brand Homespun, 4 skeins
Needles: Size 50
Notes: Knitted half the length of the 6 Hour Afghan. Very quick project that did indeed only take about 3 hours. It was very fun to see the project grow. I plan on making a bigger blanket for myself by knitting 2 and seaming them together. It does curl slightly, though I added a one stitch selvedge (2 or 3 looked ridiculous) I cast on much too tightly but I have decided to call it done. This is going to my aging Aunt for an early birthday present. (Her birthday is still a few weeks away)
